Division Activities
1. Developing teaching staff by organizing constructive training courses related to scientific research and publishing.
2. Stimulating scientific publication and promoting the scientific outputs of the department’s branches and following up on their publication.
3. Providing support for distinguished scientific products and developing the capabilities of faculty in research fields to serve the department.
4. It is considered a link for scientific cooperation between the relevant departments of the university to serve the advancement of the scientific research aspect.
5. Paying attention to scientific production and marketing and encouraging researchers to increase their research outputs.
Division Tasks
1. Following up on the published, completed and planned research of the department’s teachers and periodically requested by the department’s headquarters.
2. Following up the faculty’s file on scientific research platforms in terms of updating the scientific research data on Google Scholar, ResearchGate, Web of Science, Scopus, ORCID.
3. Submit an annual position at the end of the academic year to inform the head of the department about the scientific research completed and published in the scientific research plan and prepare a statistic for that.
4. Follow up the issue of twinning and scientific cooperation with equivalent departments in local and international universities, and prepare recommendations and submit them to the head of the department to take the necessary measures.
5. Sending the department’s monthly activities report electronically and on paper at the end of each month to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / Office of the Administrative Agent – Government Program after presenting it to the Scientific Associate for Scientific Affairs and with the approval of the department’s presidency.
6. Preparing and organizing the forms for teaching validity for newly appointed teachers who are eligible to obtain the scientific title (assistant teacher).
7. Organizing and following up the file of the “Study in Iraq” initiative for foreign students applying to study in the department.
8. Circulating the books received from the Department Headquarters and the Office of the Scientific Associate, following up with the scientific branches, and conducting the necessary procedures.
9. Follow up the annual plan for scientific and student activities and make recommendations and proposals.
10. Following up on the annual scientific plan of the scientific branches and submitting a monthly progress report.
