As part of the University of Technology’s Golden Jubilee celebrations, the Automotive Engineering Branch of the Mechanical Engineering Department held its sixth student festival under the slogan: 

“Hybrid and Electric Vehicles – Clean Energy for a Sustainable Future”

The event came under the patronage of the President of the University of Technology, Prof. Mohsen Nouri Hamza, under the supervision of the Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, Prof. Alaa Abdul Hadi Jabr, and the direct follow-up of the Head of the Automotive Engineering Branch, Dr. Sajida Fares Sabri, in coordination with Lexus Cars Iraq.

The festival included scientific lectures presented by several of the branch’s teachers, as well as the presentation of student projects that embodied innovation and an orientation towards clean and sustainable energy.

After the event, Prof. Dr. Sadeq Hussein Bakhy, Head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering, was honored for his outstanding scientific and academic efforts, especially his pioneering role in the development of the Automotive Engineering Branch during his tenure as head of the branch.

In his speech, Prof. Sadeq Hussein Bakhi expressed his thanks and gratitude for this honor, praised the festival organizers, and stressed his pride in belonging to this prestigious scientific edifice and participating in its developmental process
