On the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of the University of Technology, the Biomedical Engineering Department honors women with a special event

As part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the University of Technology, the Department of Biomedical Engineering inaugurated its first event by organizing a special celebration to honor women, in recognition of their essential role in building society and in appreciation of their continuous giving, as the makers of generations, educators of leaders, and a source of unlimited giving.

The event was held under the patronage of the Head of the Department, Prof. Dr. Sadeq Hussein Bakhy, and opened with a welcoming speech delivered by his Excellency, in which he stressed that honoring women today is not only honoring the past, but also motivating future generations. He pointed out that the department is working to instill ambition and will in the hearts of female students and affiliates to achieve their ambitions, stressing that every woman in this college is an essential part of the department’s success, wishing the march of success and creativity to continue.

The event witnessed the participation of the scientific collaborator, Assistant Professor Dr. Ziad Qasim Habib, and the instructor, Dr. Alaa Muhammad Dawood, and the attendance of a group of the department’s female teachers

Dr. Inas Saad Muhammad and Prof. Dr. Jenan Sattar Khashan delivered welcoming speeches, in which they expressed their appreciation to the women on this occasion, stressing the importance of their role in the academic community.

The attendees emphasized that empowering women is empowering the entire society, as they play pivotal roles in education, scientific research, management, leadership, and innovation.

At the conclusion of the celebration, Assistant Professor Dr. Saad Mahmoud Ali, Head of the Biomechanics Branch, delivered a closing speech on behalf of the department’s teachers, in which he commended the efforts of the women working in the department, praising their excellence and creativity.

During the event, certificates of thanks and appreciation were distributed to all female affiliates of the Department of Biomedical Engineering, in recognition of their active role and outstanding efforts in supporting the educational and scientific process inside and outside the department.
