Participation of the Department of Biomedical Engineering faculty in the central celebration held as part of the golden jubilee of the University of Technology

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Mohsen Nouri Hamza, and under the supervision of the Head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Prof. Dr. Sadeq Hussein Bakhy, a group of teachers from the Department of Biomedical Engineering participated in the central celebration held as part of the golden jubilee activities of the University of Technology, which was attended by the Honorable Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Naim Al-Aboudi, in the presence of His Excellency the Honorable Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The celebration included a valuable speech delivered by the President of the university, during which he reviewed the university’s journey full of achievements and successes during fifty years of giving and academic and scientific excellence.

In a gesture expressing the Ministry’s interest in supporting young energies, His Excellency the Minister and the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Haider Abdul Dahad, toured the graduation projects of the students, where the Department of Biomedical Engineering had a distinguished presence by presenting a group of the most prominent projects of the fifth stage, which reflected the extent of innovation and scientific development reached by the students.

His Excellency the Minister expressed his deep admiration for the projects presented, emphasizing in his speech that these efforts represent promising steps towards advancing the health reality in Iraq, and that such projects are a real nucleus for future medical applications that contribute to serving the community and strengthening the health sector.
