Under the patronage of the esteemed President of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Mohsen Nouri Hamza, and the supervision of the esteemed Dean of the College of Biomedical Engineering, Prof. Dr. Sadeq Hussein Bakhy, the College of Biomedical Engineering, in cooperation with the Studies and Planning Division, organized a scientific workshop.

delivered by Dr. Abduljabbar Mutair Ahmed, on Monday, April 22, 2025, at the college’s Al-Quds Hall.
The workshop aimed to highlight the importance of modern ventilation systems in critical medical work environments, especially operating rooms, and their essential role in reducing the risk of infection transmission and improving the quality of health care provided. The lecturer also reviewed the most prominent international standards for operating room ventilation, in addition to the latest engineering strategies to ensure a safe and healthy surgical environment.
The workshop also addressed the impact of indoor air quality on the health of patients and medical staff, discussed the most prominent challenges facing the design and implementation of ventilation systems in health institutions, and provided innovative technical solutions based on the latest scientific research.
The workshop was attended by faculty and students, and the attendees showed great interaction with the themes of the workshop by asking questions and scientific interventions that enriched the discussion, reflecting the importance of the topic in developing health infrastructure.
