The Biomedical Engineering Department held its fourth annual festival to showcase students’ projects and activities

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Mohsen Nouri Hamza, and the supervision of the Head of the Biomedical Engineering Department, Prof. Dr. Sadeq Hussein Bakhy,

the Department of Biomedical Engineering held its fourth annual festival to showcase the projects and activities of the students, as part of the celebration of the golden jubilee of the university, at the Cultural Forum Hall in the Central Library.

The Head of the Department inaugurated the festival, along with the Assistant Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Farhad Mohammed Osman, in the presence of many of the department’s teachers and affiliates.

The festival included a presentation of a group of graduation projects of the students of the fifth stage, in addition to specific projects of the students of the unfinished stages, which reflected diversity in ideas and innovation in the solutions presented. The festival also included an art exhibition of student paintings and a musical performance that added a creative touch to the scientific and artistic atmosphere of the occasion.

The attendees praised the advanced scientific level presented by the students, which reflects the spirit of cooperation and hard work between them and their professors, noting the importance of these projects in serving the health sector, and the need to support and develop them to be the nucleus of entrepreneurial initiatives that enter the labor market.

In a gesture of appreciation, the students participating in the festival were honored with certificates of appreciation presented by the Head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering in recognition of their outstanding efforts and active participation.

After the conclusion of the festival, the Head of the Department and the Scientific Assistant to the Head of the Department expressed their deep thanks and great appreciation for the outstanding efforts exerted by the scientific and preparatory committees in organizing this scientific event, stressing the department’s keenness to support students’ talents and embrace their creative ideas in order to enhance the role of the University of Technology in pushing the wheel of education and scientific research towards further progress and contribute to building an advanced scientific society that meets the future needs of Iraq.
