The College of Biomedical Engineering accompanies the campaign to update voter ID data in cooperation with the Electoral Commission

In line with the directives of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, and in order to enhance participation in the democratic process, on Sunday, April 12, 2025, the College of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Technology participated actively in the voter card data update campaign, in coordination with the Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC).

This participation comes in the context of the process of updating voter card data, which is being conducted at the university’s Diwan Affairs Department, in cooperation with the Independent High Electoral Commission, which aims to facilitate the access of affiliates and students to the update services within the university campus.

Prof. Dr. Sadeq Hussein Bakhy, Dean of the College, accompanied by members of the College Council and faculty members, came to update their electoral data, in a step that expresses a high sense of national responsibility and the keenness of academic cadres to support the democratic process in the country.

In this context, the Dean called on all faculty members, including professors, employees and students, to go to the registration center inside the university to update their electoral data, stressing that this step represents a national commitment that should be exemplary and contributes to consolidating the culture of active citizenship within the university environment.
